During the first week of November, the Mibex offices were turned into a "Startup Village," where eight bright individuals pooled their resources and worked together on projects and solutions to hard business problems. The office was buzzing with energy as we hosted our second annual Hackathon, inspired by Atlassian’s Shipit Days. The results? Three groundbreaking applications were created in less than one week! One of our participants even came up with an integration solution that will save us and other teams time spent developing analytics for our own apps to get better insights, all while working together harmoniously under tight deadlines.

Tuesday morning, we had our first official meeting to discuss and pitch ideas for a variety of apps. The top three app concepts were decided on in under two hours with one conceptual work remaining. These four groups then split into their respective teams over the course of three days, including Diego, who made time throughout his busy schedule as always.

On the final day of Hackathon, our lovely Mexican colleague treated us to a fabulous fiesta with authentic Mexican food and traditions.

Data Studio for Confluence

Last but not least, we built our own Confluence page by leveraging existing apps to get all the important analytics for our apps in one place. All of the most important data from your apps, website, or Confluence documentation can be quickly and easily seen in one place. This makes it easy to track your progress and see where you need to make improvements to your projects.

If you’re looking for a little more excitement and innovation in your work life, or simply want to see what can be accomplished in such a short time frame, then we recommend hosting your own Hackathon. It was an amazing experience to witness the collaboration and creativity of our team, and we know that you would get just as much out of it.

If you have any feedback about these apps, let us know. And thanks for following along with our journey!

Happy Hacking! The Mibex team
